Mrs. Mary Stuart Logan Dies at Home of Daughter

A telegram Tuesday brought news of the death of Mrs. James Logan, who since October last has been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Rotha Lloyd, in Arlington, Va. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stuart, among the early settlers of this vicinity, and was born on the Stuart farm adjoining Traer, now owned by Ralph Crawford, 70 years ago. She was married here to James Logan, a railroad man. The couple lived many years in Sterling, Ill., later in Eagle Grove, Ia. Mr. Logan died last fall and since then the widow had made her home with the daughter. Another daughter, Greba Logan, a teacher, resides in Portland, Ore. The decedent's body was taken to the late home in Eagle Grove, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, but burial will be in West Union Cemetery here where other members of the Stuart family are at rest. It is expected that the burial services here will be at 3 o'clock. The Stuart family were eleven children, two daughters and nine sons, and Mrs. Logan is the last to go. One of the sons will be recalled as William, deceased husband of Mrs. Crissie Stuart of south Traer.
