Quad City Times, Davenport, IowaPRESTON, Iowa - Services for Dorothy Ahrends, 89, of Preston, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Preston. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday.
Mrs. Ahrens died Saturday at Maquoketa Care Center. Dorothy Daniels married Orville Ahrends in 1940. He died in 1976. She farmed with her husband in Galt, Iowa. Survivors include stepdaughters, Elizabeth Lyons, Clarion; Audrey Erickson, Douds; Mary Swanson, Eagle Grove; and Beverly Simms, Greensboro, N.C.; sisters, Florence Hoenicke, Preston; and Kathryn Woltkamp, Kansas City, Kan.; and a brother, Elmer Daniels, Preston.
