Quad City Times, Davenport, IowaDAVENPORT - Charles W. Tillman, 80, of Davenport, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today.
He had farmed in Clarion, Iowa. After that, he was employed as custodian at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport, until 1978. Mr. Tillman married Dorothy Mulhern in 1931 in Clarion, Iowa. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cathy "Mary" Fosdyck, Blue Grass, Iowa; sons, Craig, Davenport, Jerry, Nevada, Iowa, and Chuck "Joe," of Emden, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grand-children; a sister, Lois Stafford, Midway City, Calif.; and brothers, Kay and Phil, Riverside, Calif. Mr. Tillman was preceded in death by a son, Thomas.
