Floyd P. Dibble Rites On Tuesday
Calvin Milan, minister of the Church of Christ of Clarion, officiated at the services held for Floyd Paxton Dibble in the Eyler funeral home in Clarion, June 9, 1959. Interment was made in the Clarion Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Moore, John Lammers, Chas. Myers, Eldred Shupe, Clarence Mikelson and Bob Sheffield.Floyd Paxton Dibble, only son of Richard and Amanda Dibbie, was born September 22, 1873 at Grove Hill, Iowa and entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, June 4, 1959 at Independence, Iowa, having attained the age of 85 years, 9 months and 18 days. He received his education in the Grove Hill Schools and grew into manhood in that community. On March 8. 1897, he was united in
marriage to Lillian B. Slee of Belmond, to this union, two daughters were born, Mrs. Dr. G. T. Lammers of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Mrs. Jim Streit of Clarion, Iowa. He was a long time member of the Christian Church, and lived most of his life, with the exception of ten years spent on a farm in North Dakota, in Wright County. Survivors are, his wife, two daughters, two grand children and his many friends.Wright County Monitor, Clarion, Iowa
