Richard (Dick) MADISON, 81, former Lockheed Division Manager and Palmdale Air Park Manager, passed away November 30th 2009. Dick was born February 16, 1928. Dick was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa and moved his family to Palmdale in 1951. He served as a Marine in WWII. Dick was a dedicated employee of Lockheed for 33 years. He worked and managed several programs to include the P80, T33, F104, Cheyenne Helicopter, S-3A and SR 71. He was considered a pioneer of stealth on the Have Blue and F117 stealth fighter. The road into the Palmdale Air Park was recently dedicated in his honor for all his contributions as "Madison Way". He was a member of the Palmdale Presbyterian (Horizon) church. Dick was a dedicated husband and loving Father. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marilyn Madison, daughter Linda Madison (Hayes) of Palmdale CA, son Richard Madison of Lancaster, CA and daughter Pam Madison (Wurtz) of West Virginia. He had six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3PM Friday, December 4, 2009 at Chapel of the Valley 1755 East Ave R Palmdale CA. 93550. Donations can be sent to Charities of your choice. Arrangements must be sent one hour prior to service. Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.

ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY

Dick, God saw you and he did what he knew best, he came and sat beside you and whispered come and rest. You bid no one farewell, not even a good-bye, you were gone before we knew it only God knows why, God gave us strength to bear it and
courage to take the pain but what it meant to lose you can not be explained. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, for a part of us went with you the day God called you home. Dick you will forever live in our hearts, now rest in peace with God.
