MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa - Kenneth E. Hall, 92, a former Albion, Iowa , resident, died Saturday evening, December 10, 2005, at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. He recently had made his home at the Grandview Heights Care Center. Services are 1 p.m. today at the Estel Perrin Avey Chapel, Marshalltown, with the Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Kenneth was born March 19, 1913, in Marshall County, the son of Francis Albert and Nellie (Dove) Willits Hall. On May 30, 1937, he was united in marriage to Neva Akers in rural Popejoy , Iowa . She preceded him in death in 1996. He farmed near Albion most of his life.

Those left to honor his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, James and Diane Hall, of Eldridge, Iowa ; daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and William Shaffer, of Grandbury, Texas, and Carol and Larry Davis, of Ankeny, Iowa; and daughter, Kathy Hall, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and her special friend, Cindy Price. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews and two "best friends," Jim Hunt and Keith Lunsford. Preceding him in death were his wife, Neva, parents, brothers, Leeland and Albert, and his sisters Gladys Scheid, Ruth Clover, and Helen Benson Hilleman.

His memberships included the Albion United Methodist Church. He was a longtime Albion City Councilman and a longtime member of the Albion Fire Department.
