Funeral services for Mrs. H.K. (Mintie) Pals, 104, who died Tuesday, August 7, (1986) at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, where she had resided since March of 1983, were held at the Van Dyke-Duven Funeral Home in Pella, Saturday, August 9. Mrs. Pals was born July 17, 1882 to Mr. and Mrs. Willem Rozeboom who lived on a farm near Pella. She was married to Herman K. Pals on August 12, 1902, in her parent’s home near Belmond. They lived in Meservey until 1919 when they sold their hardware store and moved to their farm east of Meservey. They retired in 1941 and moved to Pella where they were members of the Second Reformed Church. Mrs. Pals was preceded in death by her husband on June 11, 1947; by her daughter, Grace Lautenbach on February 18, 1982, and by her granddaughter, Julianne Probert on January 27, 1950. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Vander Myde of St. Ansgar and Wilma Probert of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Dr. Clarence H. Pals of Arlington, Virginia, Harold Pals of Dumont, Colorado, and Myron Pals of Costa Mesa, California; also 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and four great, great grandchildren.
