OTTUMWA — Sidney Leland "Bud" Stocker, 68, of Ottumwa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009, at Hospice House in Ottumwa. He was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Clarion, Iowa, to Sidney Joseph and Bertha Lillian Brady Stocker.He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He then was a resident of Cedar Rapids for the past 30 years, working at Wilson Processed Meat Plant for nine years and then 18 years as an over-the-road flatbed driver, retiring in 2007 from S.S.XPRESS TRUCKING. He received a million miles safe driving award. He loved to bowl, trap shoot and attending softball and baseball games. Surviving are a sister, Virginia (Richard) Steele of Ottumwa; a brother, Dale (Carol) Muntz of Farmington; a half sister, Dorothy Muntz of Farmington; six nieces; three nephews; six great-nieces; and five great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mariyln Owens. His body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Luers officiating. The family will be present one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Goldfield, Iowa, at a later date.Memorials may be made to Hospice, PO Box 1150, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501
