EAGLE GROVE - Funeral services for 79-year-old Arthur P. Ressler, of Elmore, MN, formerly of Eagle Grove, who died at his home in Elmore on Saturday Oct. 17, 2009, are pending with the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Eagle Grove - Arthur Paul Ressler, 79, of Elmore, Minn., and formerly of Eagle Grove, died Saturday (Oct. 17, 2009) in his home. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 21, at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with graveside services at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Dows. Memorials may be directed to your favorite charity or sent to Art Ressler Memorial Fund at 535 Woodbine Court, Mason City, IA 50401.

Arthur Paul Ressler was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Goodell, the son of Clarence and LaReta H. (Nolte) Ressler. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver and farmer. He was very talented and mechanically gifted. His many hobbies included building and re-engineering race car motors, racing, rebuilding old tractors and agricultural activities.

Arthur Ressler is survived by his special friend, Francine Hennings; children, Debora (Brad) Hobbs, Mary (Dave) Gaboriault, Paul (Laurie) Ressler, Jeannie Ressler-Frederick, John Sr. (Chris) Ressler, Douglas (Michele) Ressler, Ricky (Bobbi Thompson) Ressler, Perry (Heidi) Ressler, Barbara (Neal) Boyd and Troy Ressler; 22 grandchildren, Jessica (John) Sloan, Ellie (Joe) Reser, Kari Hobbs, Benjamin (Jessica) and Jeffrey Gaboriault, Megan and Sarah Ressler, Thomas, Christopher and Jacquelyn Frederick, John Jr. (Krysia) and Tim (Sarah) Ressler, Lauren Tucker-Ressler, Amber (Kenny) Hanson, Matthew, Joshua, and Payton Ressler, Justin and Eric Riss, Tristan, Trent and Tarra Ressler; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Phyllis (Darwin) Huffaker and Ronald and Lowell Nuehring. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Darold Nuehring; and longtime companion Lorna Blankenship. Foust Funeral Home, 103 N. Cadwell Ave., Eagle Grove.
