Kanawha-Funeral services were held at the Kanawha Lutheran church Monday for Ormal Minor, 61, who died at his home near Goldfield, Friday.

Ormal Louis Minor was born in Wright County, Iowa, May 23, 1883, son of George and Sarah Minor. He attended public school and grew to manhood in Wright County. On April 6, 1907, he was married to Miss Julia Shurson, and they lived in the vicinity of Renwick and Kanawha until they moved to their present home about a year ago.

Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Minor, three of them having preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife and eight children; Mrs. Dena Johnson of Minneapolis; Mrs. Luella Hughes and Mrs. Gladys Spoon of Kanawha; Joseph of Fort Dodge; Gerhart of Goldfield; Orval in overseas service; and Myrtle and Ramona at home. Four sisters, Mrs. Mamie Sheridan, Rutland; Bertha Minor, Eldora; Mrs. Avis Shurson and Mrs. Alma Rospka both of Eagle Grove, also survive.

Funeral services were in charge of the Rev. T.J. Severtson of Eagle Grove, and burial was in the family lot in the Kanawha cemetery.
