Mason City, Iowa, Oct. 31, 1936Eliason Funeral Held at Kanawha;
Two Sons, Three Daughters LeftKanawha-Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Kanawha Lutheran church for Nels Severin Eliason with the Rev. Morris Peterson officiating. Burial was made in the Turn Lake cemetery. Mr. Eliason died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anton Asbe following a lingering illness.
Born in 1854 at Dalsland, Sweden, he came to America in 1897 with his brothers and sisters. Settling at Mason City, and moving from there to Kanawha. He was married to Hannah Larson of Mason City who preceded him in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Asbe of Kensett and Mrs. Dick Grifhorst and Mrs. Anton Asbe of Kanawha and two sons, Oscar Eliason of Mason City and John Eliason of Kanawha.
Pallbearers were John Shurson, Joseph Erickson, Peter Benson, Mons Oustad, Olaf Peterson and Theo Tegland.
