Helen L. Kirby, 83, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, in Red Rose Health and Rehabilitation, Cassville. She was born June 24, 1926, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Harold Lucious and Erma (Harges) Lewright. She was united in marriage to Frederick William Kirby, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Robert. Survivors include: four sons, William Kirby and his wife, Roberta, of Eagle Rock, and Frederick Kirby, Frank Kirby and Harold Kirby, all of Waterloo, Iowa; one brother, Harold L. Lewright, Jr., of Eagle Grove, Iowa; one sister, Ruth Vilmain, of New Mexico; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She grew up and received her education in Iowa. She received her bachelor's degree at the University of Iowa. She was a registered nurse. Funeral services were held Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
