BELMOND, IA - Daniel E. Bordwell, 30, of Belmond, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City with the Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.

Daniel Edwin Bordwell, son of Charles and Delores Raner Bordwell, was born on July 16, 1979 in Iowa City, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1998. On March 10, 2003 he married Nicole L. Harris in Stratford, Iowa. He was employed by Iowa Select Farms near Belmond.

In addition to his wife Nicole, he is survived by his two daughters, Joslyn Marie and Alivia Nicole Bordwell. all of Belmond; his parents, Charles and Delores Bordwell of Boone; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Dan loved stock car racing in which he competed in for over 4 years. He was also a member of the stock car racing association.
