Carol Lee Davis, former resident of Mapleton, died Aug. 18, 2009, in Mesa, AZ. Please join us for a celebration of Carol's life on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Mapleton Town and Country Leisure Center, 304 Second Avenue NE, Mapleton, MN, 56065. Carol was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Belmond, IA. She was the devoted and loving wife of Robert Elwood Davis. They would have celebrated 59 years of marriage on Nov. 29, 2009. Carol and Robert were owners of B and R Auto and Truck Parts of Beauford, MN, and residents of Mapleton, MN, for 40+ years. They spent their retirement years in Mesa, AZ. Carol was the mother of four sons: Larry, Bobby, Dick and Randy. Carol was preceded in death by one son, Robert (Bobby) Eugene Davis. She is survived by one sister and two brothers: Jan Blankenship and significant other, "Tub," of Leland, IA; Charles (Sonny) Hanson and wife, Debbie, of Albert Lea, MN; and Jerome (Pete) Hanson and wife, Linda, of Mapleton; three sons: Larry Davis and wife, Susan, of Las Vegas, NV; Richard (Dick) Davis and wife, Tami, of Eagle Lake, MN; and Randy Davis and wife, Sarah, of Mapleton; eight grandchildren: Cory Myher, Mindi (husband, Shawn) Brown, Kristopher Davis, Barbra Davis, Mason Davis, Sean Davis, Jessica Davis and John (J.R.) Davis; three great-grandchildren: Morgan Myher, Johanna Davis and Landon Davis; and one soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Cecelia Brown.
