Nora Johnson, 97, Maddock, died Monday, Sept. 12, 1994, in St. Aloisius Medical Center, Harvey, N.D. Nora Kro was born June 10, 1897, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Guda and Serena (Rogelstad) Kro. She attended school in Wellsburg, N.D., and Dakota Business College, Fargo. She married John Henry Johnson July 15, 1920, in Wells County, N.D., and they farmed south of Maddock. The couple retired in 1956 to Maddock. He died in 1966. She moved in 1980 to Memorial Home of Maddock. She is survived by sons, Lyle, Maddock, Duane, Madison, Wis., Clarence Bluffton, Ind., Earl, Broadhead. Wis., and Grant, Minot; a daughter, Fern Rogness, Heimdal, N.D.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild; brothers, Ole and Martin; and sisters, Selma Haugen and Blanche Kovar. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday in Viking Lutheran Church, rural Maddock. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Nelson Funeral Home, Maddock. Burial: Viking Cemetery, rural Maddock.
