Last Rites for Karen Christensen Conducted Monday Afternoon

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock at the First Lutheran Church, Monday afternoon, September 9, 1946 for Karen Christensen, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Christensen. The Reverend O. A. Langehough was in charge of the services. Interment was at the First Lutheran Cemetery.

Karen Margaret Christensen was born at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital at Mason City on March 5, 1942. She was baptized at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar July 26, 1942 by Reverend Langehough. Karen, who was suffering from allergies, developed a bronchial disorder and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, where she passed away Thursday morning, September 5 at 9:00 A.M. She leaves to mourn her, her parents, a grandfather, William Hoffmann of Eagle Grove, also other close relatives and a host of friends. Karen was a sweet little girl, dearly loved by all who knew her. Her personality radiated sunshine wherever she went.
