Don "Moe" Mosher, 84, of Eagle Grove, IA, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Careage of Clarion.

Moe was born May 8, 1925 in Clarion to Robert & Mary (Maier) Mosher. He graduated from Clarion High School and entered the Navy in 1942. He was first stationed in Adak, Alaska then in Okinawa, Japan with the 66th Battalion. He was discharged in May of 1946. On June 27, 1950 he married Zarilla "Zee" Lemon. Moe was employed by M & M Livestock for 41 years. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Lions, & American Legion. He was the secretary of the Wright County District Jr. Fair Board. He was a fan of ISU sports & the Cubs. The Eagle Grove Eagles have lost a great fan with Moe's passing.

Survivors include: his wife of 59 years, daughter Renee (Mike) Schuck, of Eagle Grove, granddaughter Erika of Des Moines, grandson Alex of Eagle Grove, brother Robert Jr. of Clarion, sister-in-law Irene of Clarion & many nieces & nephews. Preceding him in death are three sisters (Mildred, Velma & Myrl) & four brothers (Gary, Eldon, Kenneth & Melvin).
