Deloris N. Almquist, age 78, of North Ft. Myers, Fla. died August 3, 2009, at the United Hospital in St. Paul. Deloris was born February 24, 1931, in Woolstock, Iowa, to Clarence and Doris (Myhre) Norcross. She married Richard Almquist July 30, 1966. Deloris was employed as a clerical worker at 3M and Smead Manufacturing prior to her retirement. Deloris loved to sew, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Darold. Deloris is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Kathy (George) Siebenaler of Hastings, Russ Eckard of Florida, Nancy (Scott) Baker of Florida, and [redacted]; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Lugg, Beverly Tibbits, Connie Randall, and one brother, Carroll Norcross, all of Iowa.

The funeral service, with the Rev. Chris Kneen officiating, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009, at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, with a visitation held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the Thursday service. The pallbearers were Brian Siebenaler, Mark Siebenaler, Michael Siebenaler, John Siebenaler, Heidi Kaiser, and George Siebenaler. Interment will be held at County Line Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, Hastings.
