SHREVEPORT, LA-- Mrs. Wanda K. Love, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Promise Hospital in Shreveport after an extended illness. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Pierce.

Mrs. Love was born August 1, 1921, in Alexander, Iowa to Claypool and Anna Klinefelter. She lived in several different states before moving to Keithville, LA where she made her home for 33 years, and Shreveport, LA for the past 7 years.

Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 brothers and 1 sister, her husband, Walter Love, daughter, Annette Love Byrd, and her grandson, Michael Boone, as well as 1 great-grandchild. She is survived by her son, Walter A. Love and his wife, Sandy of Longview, TX; her grandchildren, Heather M. Vandiver and her husband, Craig of Shreveport, LA and their children, Adrian, Ian, and Colby; Penny Kay and her husband, Bobby of Osage Beach, MO and her children, Amy and Sam Jinson; and James Love and his children; as well as Michael's children, Brittany Carter of Memphis, TN and Madison Boone of Stevens Point, WI. Pallbearers will be Craig Vandiver, Austin Wooten, Eric Vandiver, Jimmy Taylor, and Kris Griffin. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Promise Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Mrs. Love. Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
