Edgerton Enterprise, Edgerton, MinnesotaNancy Kleinjan was born on January 3, 1924 in Murray County, Minnesota to Wubbo and Tena [nee Christians] Brouwer. She attended the Christian School in Edgerton. On October 20th, 1943, she and Ervin Kleinjan were united in marriage. She was an active member of the First Reformed Church in Edgerton, MN. She passed away on September 8, 1981 in the Methodist Hospital, Minneapolis, MN after a struggle with cancer. She was 57.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Ervin; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Linda) Schacht, St. Paul, MN and Mrs. Arman (Lucille) Sundquist, Brooklyn Park, MN; one son, Kevin Kleinjan of Edgerton; two grand-daughters, Sally and Shannon Schacht; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Westenberg, Mrs. Tena Stiltner, and Mrs. Betty Blackmon; and two brothers, Anno and Clarence Brouwer.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10th, at the First Reformed Church in Edgerton with Rev. Harm Gruis officiating. Special music was provided by Harlan Wesselink, organist, and Alice Jolink, soloist. Pall bearers were Joe Huisken, Larry Paulson, Stan Scholten, Ed Baartman, Fred Vander Kolk, and Henry Faber. Interment was in the local Hillside Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
