W. E. WARNES DIES AT 104 IN CHURCH HOME

Fort Dodge, Ia., Dec. 26 (AP) -- The senior member of the W. E. Warnes family is dead. Warnes, in whose family there has been only one death since 1890, died last night at 104 in Friendship Haven, the Methodist home for the aged. The death of Warnes' second wife at age 95 last year was the first death in his family since his first wife died in 1890. He had about 100 decendants, including 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 11 greatgreat-grandchildren and the partners of those married. His two wives were sisters.

He was born in Norfolk county, England, in 1856. In 1883 he and his wife and two daughters came to the United States and lived for a time in Belmond, Ia. Warnes worked for the Chicago and North Western Railway company for 30 years and its oldest retired employe.
