Helen Boutell -- Born July 31, 1926, in Ypsilanti, Mich., she was the daughter of William and Helen McLane Boutell. Ms. Boutell lived in Keokuk for the past six years. She previously resided in the Bay Area of California. She was a medical technician and also a professional wallpaper hanger. She loved to travel the globe and was an avid sailor. Survivors include one niece, three nephews, three great-nieces and two great-nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Memorials have been established for the Heartland Museum in Clarion and the Artistic License Guild for Scholarships. Greaves Mortuary in Keokuk is in charge of the arrangements.
