November 4, 1876 - April 18, 1969

Olin Benjamin Snuggins was born November 4, 1876 at Argyle, Wisconsin to Olin and Margaret Peterson Snuggins. He was reared near Dows, Iowa and received his education there and at Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. While at Ellsworth College, Olin received voice training that was a source of pleasure to him, and all that knew him, for the rest of his life. His fine tenor voice was heard at weddings, funerals, and social occasions wherever he lived.Immediately after graduation from Ellsworth College, Olin went to Mohall, North Dakota where he worked a homestead until 1910. At this time he moved to Outlook Montana. At Gulbertson, Montana, O. B. married Allean Anderson. They resided on their homestead farm at Outlook, Montana until 1934. While at Outlook, O. B. embraced the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a faithful member, and an active Elder until the infirmities of his advancing years forced his retirement.

In 1934 O. B. and Allean moved to Clear Lake, Iowa where they resided until about 1949. At this time they moved to Spokane and purchased the family home on Argonne Road. Allean passed away in 1951. In 1959 O. B. Snuggins and Agnes Volland were united in marriage. This union brought much happiness to O. B. during his remaining years. In addition to his faithful wife, Agnes, O. B. leaves to mourn: 1 sister, Clara Beach, Thompson, Iowa; 5 step sons, George Snuggins, Missouri, Andrew Volland, Dokes, North Dakota; Kenneth Volland, Spokane, Richard and Charles Volland, Kent Washington; 3 step daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Triplett, Great Bend, Kansas, Mrs. Margaret Peterson, Kent, Washington, Mrs. Clara Tobias, Spokane, Washington; 9 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

O. B. was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a kind, gentle, loving, devoted christian who enjoyed telling the Gospel story - and lived by Christian precepts throughout his life. O. B. transcended this earth April 18, 1969 at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 14 days.
