Sally Ann Nelson, the daughter of Otto and Bertha (Martin) Wolff, was born February 16, 1949 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove. Sally was united in marriage to Marvin B. Nelson at Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe on June 3, 1966. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove and attended Evangelical Lutheran Church. Sally worked at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City and Krysilis in Clarion. She enjoyed fishing, auctions, garage sales and knitting.

Sally passed away Monday, July 13, 2009, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her grand parents, parents and her son, Mykyl Nelson. Survivors include her husband, Marvin; children Marvin L. Nelson, and wife Tammy of Eagle Grove, Shane Nelson and wife, Susie of Hudson, WI, and Melissa Nelson of Eagle Grove; grandchildren, Mikeal, Alexis, Tom, Josh, Terry, Zach, Tyler, Kayla, Brooke, Nick and Alexandra; sister, Lucille Janes of Duncombe and Betty Nerem of Webster City.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the Washington Lutheran Cemetery, 250th Street and Vasse Avenue, south of Duncombe with Pastor Chris Lang officiating. Memorials will be left to the discretion of the family.
