Thelma Elizabeth Kirk, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, in Delaware County Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, by the Rev. Ellis Andrews. Burial: Oakland Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Francis. Also surviving are two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a brother.

Born on Jan. 5, 1918, in Belmond, to Charlie and Faye Curray, she married Francis Kirk on July 28, 1950, in Manchester. She and her husband owned and operated the Dynamite Cafe in Manchester for 13 years. She was also a 50-year member of the VFW Auxiliary. A memorial fund has been established in Thelma's memory.
