Mons Steffenson Rites Tuesday

Services for Mons Steffenson, 87, of 1644 York St. will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ullensvang Cemetery at Thor. Mr. Steffenson, a retired carpenter, died of a heart attack Saturday at home, after an illness of one week. Born in Norway, Mr Steffenson had lived in Des Moines eight years and previously resided at Thor 60 years. He was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Thor. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Charles [Robert] Webster, with whom he had been living and Mrs Kay Mead of Muscatine, a son, Maurice of Des Moines and six grandchildren.
