PNEUMONIA IS FATAL TO C. CROVISIER

Dread disease removed well known farmer just in the prime of life. Burial Monday.

The entire community was saddened Friday morning when it was learned that Charles J. Crovisier had succumbed to pneumonia. He had been ill but a few days and while it was know he was dangerously sick, yet no one was prepared for the shock of his death. He was sick for 10 days with meningitis and pneumonia.

Charles Joseph Crovisier, son of Joseph and Josephine Crovisier, was born in Saales, Alsace-Lorraine France on April 20, 1880 and passed away at his home near Eagle Grove, Iowa Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock. May 18, 1928, having attained the age of 48 years, 28 days. He had been seriously ill with pneumonia for ten days. His early childhood was spent in France. He came to America at the age of 15 years, landing in this country February 25, 1895. He was employed at farm labor for several years near Woolstock, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Mary Kastler of Woolstock, February 22, 1907. To this union were born eight children, all living at home. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and eight children, Mildred, Milford, Clarence, Margaret, John, Harry, Fred and Ethel of Eagle Grove, also his aged mother, two sisters, one brother living in France, besides many other relatives and friends. He was the only one of his immediate family to come to America with the exception of two uncles. Mr. Crovisier moved with his family to his present farm home in the spring of 1921, and was one of the prosperous farm owners of the community.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church, Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. G. Muhleman. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery. Those from out of town in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. John Claude, and son John of Sauk Center, MN, Mrs. Ella Hilpipre and Henry Hilpipre of Elmore, MN Mrs. Carrie Gaster of Fort Dodge, Mr. And Mrs. Charles Gaster of Blairsburg, Mr. And Mrs. Ed Crovisier, Webster City, Mrs. Wesley Douglas and Misses Mary and Emma Crovisier of Webster City, also many neighbors and old friends from near Woolstock.
