Miss Lora Lighthall, 104-1/2, the oldest resident of Tompkins Memorial Health Center, died Saturday afternoon at the center. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel on the Hill, Friendship Haven, with the Rev. Ben Hearn, Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Alden Cemetery, Alden. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Bruce Funeral Home. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Richard (Eloise) Welch, Fort Dodge. Lora Lighthall was a teacher at Boone and Clarion before moving to Fort Dodge in 1910. She taught at Lincoln School in Fort Dodge and later taught junior high classes. She taught math and science classes at South Junior High (now Fair Oaks Middle School)until her retirement in 1952. She and a twin sister, Vera Lighthall, also a retired teacher, moved to Friendship Haven in 1963. Her sister died in 1966. Memorials may be left to Friendsip Haven or First congregational Church of Christ.
