Mr. Thomas Brem Hoover, Sr., age 86, of Paw Creek, passed away Saturday morning in a local hospital after an extended illness. Born December 25, 1873, in Mecklenburg County, and was a member of the Paw Creek Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Leona Henderson Hoover, in 1933. Survivors: 3 daughters, Mrs. Carl Wilson, Mrs. George Hoover, Mrs. Tom Grier, all of Charlotte; 2 sons, Clifton H. Hoover, Charlotte, Dr. Thomas B. Hoover, Jr., Eagle Grove, Iowa; 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McEwen West Chapel with the Rev. A. Leslie Thompson officiating. Interment in the Paw Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lewis Hoover, Edwin Hoover, H. W. Hoover, Blair C. Cox, Adrian C. Cathey and Eddie Reames. The family will be at 1445 Carolyn Drive.
