Donald Musson, age 85, of Iowa Falls, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. The Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Donald John Musson was born on January 28, 1923 in Dows, Iowa, the son of George and Anne Mae (Erickson) Musson. He attended schools in Iowa Falls and graduated from the Gilbert High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. Donald was united in marriage to Pauline Stephens on April 5, 1946 in Ames, Iowa. He had been a farmer all of his life. Donald was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, the Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post #188 of Iowa Falls, and the V.F.W.
Donald is survived by his son, Doug (Karen K.) of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Karen Sue Musson of Iowa Falls; three grandsons, Troy (Jill) Musson of Shawnee, KS, Mark (Molly) Musson of Overland Park, KS, and Scott Musson of Shawnee, KS; a granddaughter, Tracy Yount of Olathe, KS; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald (Jean) Musson of Waldport, OR; and a sister, Lucille Merrigan of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline; a sister, Doris Anderson of Seattle, WA; and a daughter-in-law, Pennie Musson.
