Mrs Fred Edmunds and Mrs. Orval Nordstrom
August 12, 1949
Double Funeral Here SaturdayThe double funeral services for a Boone mother and daughter will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist church here, with Rev. E. D. Rapp of the Primitive Methodist church in charge. Mrs. Fred Edmunds, 76, died Wednesday evening at her home after a long illness, her death coming shortly after that of her daughter, Mrs. Orval Nordstrom, 43, who passed away in Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines. Both were members of the Primitive Methodist Church here, but because it was thought the church would not accommodate the crowd for a double service, it was decided to hold the rites in the First Methodist church.
