Vivian A. Leatherby, 83, died May 24, 2009, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. She was born in Clarion, Iowa, and moved to Palm City one year ago from Houston. She lived in Oklawaha from 1971 to 1991. She enjoyed gardening, reading and birdwatching. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Haering of Palm City, and JoLynn Dempsey of Titusville; son, Lance Leatherby of Alexandria, Va.; brother, Eugene Henely of Charles City, Iowa; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter, Ann Ward; son, Steven Leatherby; sister, Mary V. Brennan and brother, James Henely. SERVICES: A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 6 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 S.W. Mapp Road, Palm City. Arrangements are being handled by All County Funeral Home and Crematory, Treasure Coast Chapel.
