Edward D. Carlson of Webster City, Iowa
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle “Micki” Carlson of Webster City; a son, Dennis (Betty) Carlson and grandson Christopher Carlson all of Bellmore, Long Island, New York; a daughter, Marcia (Ron) Wagner of Webster City and granddaughter, Rhonda (Mike) Hollingshead of Eagle Grove, Iowa and three great grandchildren, Joshua (Irena) Hollingshead of Estes Park, Colorado, Kelsey Hollingshead at the University of Iowa, and Lacey Hollingshead at Iowa Central Community College; a granddaughter, Saundra Wagner and her friend Jackie Young of Runnells, Iowa and a grandson, Justin (Jinny) of Miniburn, Iowa. His also survived by a brother, Dean Carlson of Rutland, Iowa; and two sisters, Pat Barrisk of Dakota City, Iowa and Shirley Stockwell of Mesquite, Texas. Edward D. Carlson, the son of Art and Cora (Opheim) Carlson, was born February 4, 1925 in Rutland, Iowa and graduated in 1942 from the Rutland High School. On December 12, 1946, he married Myrtle “Micki” Ramsvig in Blue Earth, Minnesota. After their marriage the couple farmed for eight years near Humboldt and then worked 31 years for the Geo. A. Hormel & Co. The past 21 years they have lived in Webster City. For the past two months Edward has been a resident of Tompkins Health Center, Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.
