Harmina "Babe" Moody, 91, died Wednesday at the Adams Health Care Center. Babe was born March 24, 1909 at Belmond, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Henrietta (Pals) Groen. She graduated from the Belmond High School and was married to Bernard L. Moody on June 24, 1928, at Austin. She worked at the Canton Cafe in Austin and later for the Sterling Drug Store for 10 years until her retirement. She was a member of Unity Chapter No. 29 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Linda Moody, Dodge Center; three grandchildren, Lynne, Jeff, and Steve; one great granddaughter; three step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; sister, Rena Glenn, Austin; nieces and nephews; special friend, Leone VanHouse, Austin. The family prefers memorials to Juvenile Diabetes or the Adams Health Care Center. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. Richard M. Kastner officiating. Interment: Oakwood Cemetery; Visitation: Friends may call at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. The family prefers memorials to Juvenile Diabetes or the Adams Health Care Center.
