Glen Kennedy Dies Suddenly

Glen H. Kennedy, 66, died at 11:15 Thursday evening a his home, 605 Grove St. His death was sudden, being attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Robert Shaw officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Glen Hazen Kennedy, son of James and Anna Kennedy, was born July 2 1896, on a farm north of Kamrar and was reared and educated in the Kamrar community. He was united in marriage June 12 1917, to Helen Cordes, and the couple farmed in the Kamrar, Blairsburg and Galt communities for several years. In 1926, the moved into Webster City where they had since resided.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters and four sons; Mrs. Weldon (Gleneva) Wright of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Frank (Ardys) Svehla of Torrence, Calif., Darrell Kennedy of Ackley, Robert Kennedy of Westmount, N.J., Bryce Kennedy of Iowa City and Jared Kennedy of Gulfport, Miss., 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, Otto Kennedy of Kamrar. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the First Baptist church.
