ALEXANDER, IA -- John Henry Bohman, 73, of Alexander, died Thursday (Dec. 19, 1996) at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Reformed Church, with the Rev. Gerald Norman officiating. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery, with military rites under the direction of Hanson-Have American Legion Post #658, Latimer. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Dugger Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond, with a 3 p.m. prayer service. John Henry Bohman was born Oct. 12, 1923, on a farm north of Alexander. Survivors include his wife, Norma, of Alexander; one daughter, Melinda Sue Harvison of Houston, Texas; one son, Russel John Bohman of West Des Moines; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Effie Olson of Alexander; and one brother, Bernard Bohman, Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
