Funeral Today for Howard C. Helgevold [Howard Clarence Helgevold]

Funeral services for Howard C. Helgevold, 67, will be at 2 p.m. today, (Thursday) at the Holmes Lutheran Church. Rev. Marvin Dooley will officiate and burial will be in the Holmes Cemetery. Mr. Helgevold died Monday evening at his farm home 2 miles north and 1 mile west of Holmes.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Howard Helgevold, Jr. of Eagle Grove and one daughter, Mrs. David Sorenson of Newton. Other survivors include six grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Ole H. Helgevold of Fort Dodge, three brothers, Raymond and Roy of Chicago, Ill. and Pershing of Springfield, Mass. and one sister, Mrs. Norton Risdall of Fort Dodge.

Mr. Helgevold was born May 21, 1904 in Clarion. He attended the Holmes School and on Oct. 6, 1934 was married to Viola Larson in Mason City. He had spent his lifetime on the farm where he died. He was a member of the Holmes Lutheran Church.
