KANAWHA, Iowa--Gertie L. Vanderstoep, 90, of Kanawha, died Saturday (July 8, 1995) at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hollandale Christian Reformed Church in Hollandale, Minn. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Monday at Ewing Funeral Home in Kanawha and after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Gertie Vanderstoep was born July 18, 1904 at Appeldorn, Netherlands. Survivors include two daughters, Marian Slings, Osceola, and Carolyn Ruter, Kanawha; one son, John Vanderstoep of Hollandale, Minn.; one sisters, Lydia Bos, Orange City, Iowa; two brothers, Edward Koldenhoven in Colorado, and Richard Koldenhoven of Sheldon, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one grandchild, and three brothers.
