MESERVEY, IA -- Kent Alan Frohling, 27, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Meservey, died Sunday (Aug. 6, 1995) in Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Salem United Methodist Church, Meservey, with the Rev. Jim Gochenouer, officiating. Interment will be in the Meservey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond.

Kent, the son of Dale L. Frohling and Myra M. Zieman Frohling, was born on April 17, 1968, in Mason City. Kent graduated from Meservey-Thornton High School in 1986. While he was in high school, he was an active member of the Thornton Farm Hand 4-H. He went to work for Dahley Construction after graduation where he worked in Texas, Mississippi, Ohio, Delaware, Georgia and Alabama. He then moved back to Meservey and worked at Eaton Corporation for a time. He then moved to Arizona and worked at the Gainy Ranch Resort in Scottsdale before working for Kearney Electric as a journeyman electrician. Kent was an avid sportsman, loving to hunt and fly fish. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars.

Kent is survived by his parents, Dale and Myra; one sister, Jody Grant and her husband, Troy, of Thornton; a brother, Ryan Frohling and Ami of Thornton; one niece, Megan Grant; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
