BELMOND - Kristie Kay Buseman, 51, of Belmond passed away Monday (April 27, 2009) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services for Kristie K. Buseman will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 2, at the United Methodist Church in Belmond with Pastor Mark Pluff and Pastor Mike Druhl officiating. Burial will take place in the Belmond cemetery. Visitation for Kristie will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane S., Belmond, and will continue one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Kris Kay, the daughter of John (Jack) and Sharon Evans Williams, was born Dec. 6, 1957, in Belmond. She grew up in Belmond where Kris attended school. Kris was united in marriage to Randy E. Buseman in 1973. Kris lived and worked in several Iowa communities throughout her life. While in Belmond, she worked for Trigg's Manufacturing, Eaton, The Corner Bar and Restaurant and Casey's Pizza. While living in Delta, Kris worked as a full-time mother. In 2001 Kris achieved her GED from North Iowa Community College. Kris enjoyed collecting tins, crocheting, crafts and going to garage sales. Kris is remembered as a very loving relative and friend. To those she loved and was loved by, Kris lived a life of genuine forgiveness to all.
Kris is survived by her sons, Chad and Amy of Klemme and Donnie and Nancy of Belmond; seven grandchildren: Mackenzie, Mariah, Cameron, Jesse Lynn, Chad, Alex and Kaydance; her father, John (Jack) Williams Sr. and wife, Sandy, of New Mexico; sister and best friend, Rachelle Buseman and husband, Terry, of Belmond; three brothers: John (Jack) Williams Jr. and wife, Robin, of Mason City, Randy Williams and wife, Diane, of Mason City, Jamie Williams and Amber of Nevada; special niece, Nicole; stepsister, Denise Wiese and husband, Randy, of Altoona; a stepbrother, Steve Cunningham and wife, Linda, of Des Moines; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon. Dugger Funeral Homes.
