December 10, 2004Larry R. Heck, son of Elmer and Mary Stell Heck, was born Aug. 18, 1947, at Webster City. He attended and graduated from Webster City High School. He then attended Junior College and AIB in Des Moines. On Feb. 15, 1969, Larry was united in marriage with Rebecca Lieser at Eldora. They had two children, Anthony and Jennifer.
Larry was employed by Wohl Shoe Company for over 30 years. This job had the family living in several locations in Iowa and then ending up in Spokane, Wash. for about 19 years. In 2000, Larry and Becky moved back to Iowa, where he found a job at Electrolux in Webster City. They made their home in Eagle Grove.
Larry Heck, 57, passed away on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at his home after a long fight with cancer. Preceding him in death is his father-in-law, Harris J. Lieser. Larry is survived by his wife Rebecca Heck of Eagle Grove; son, Anthony Heck and wife Lynette of Anchorage, Alaska, daughter Jennifer Heck of Eagle Grove; grandsons Joseph and Alexander of Eagle Grove, and Tabitha of Anchorage, Alaska; parents Elmer and Mary Heck of Webster City; and mother-in-law, Donna Lieser of Marshalltown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Henrietta Klarenbeek, Mary Greeley Chaplain, officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
