Robert Carl Heuton passed away Friday March 27, 2009, in Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born November 14, 1922, in Carroll, Iowa to Karl & Clara (Sporleder) Heuton. On March 24, 1944, he was married to Margaret Mentzer in Manning, Iowa. He was a long time resident of Springfield, Mo. where he was a member of St Agnes Cathedral and a member of the Elks Lodge. He loved music, singing and playing his accordion & harmonica. He made many friends and enjoyed dancing at the local senior centers 3 or 4 nights a week with his close friend and companion Marge Moore. He was employed by General Tire and Rubber Company as area territory manager for 25 years, and retired in 1987. He is survived by two sons, Michael of Grand Junction, Colo. and John of Charleston, S.C.; his sister, Bernice; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be in Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City, Iowa with interment at Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

MISSON, Texas - Robert Heuton, 86, died March 27, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Robert Heuton of Grand Junction, Colorado and John Thomas Heuton of Charleston, South Carolina, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Bernice Warnke of Lake City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret, sister, Mildred and one sister, Ruth in infancy.

Robert was born on November 14, 1922 to parents Karl John and Clara (Sporleder) Heuton. On March 24, 1944 he married Margaret Mary Mentzer at Manning. Robert worked for 25 years with General Tire Company retiring in 1984.
