NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - James Dean True, 18, of 18 South Iowa St., died Sunday (Jan. 26, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ruth Hanson and the Rev. Jim Gochenouer officiating. Interment will be in Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today at Sheckler Colonial Chapel. The family suggests memorials be given to the James Dean True Memorial Fund. James was born June 26, 1978, in Iowa City, the son of James E. and Jennie (Roethler) True. James attended school at Sheffield-Chapin/Meservey-Thornton. James enjoyed roller blading, skate boarding, snow boarding, biking and fishing with his grandfather. James is survived by his mother, Jennie and her husband, Donnie Blau, Meservey; his father, James E. True, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Cody True, Fort Dodge; two sisters, Krystal and Melissa Blau, Meservey; a maternal grandmother, Phyllis Roethler, Nora Springs; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Linda True, Clear Lake; maternal great-grandmother, Eleanore Jackson, Mason City; an uncle, Steven Roethler, Houston, Texas; an aunt, Debbie Roethler, Grants, N.M.; and several great uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vincent Roethler; great-grandparents, Lyle and Miriam Schwieger; and his special beloved friend, Amanda Hjelle.
