BELMOND - Funeral services for Jason Lee Moore will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Belmond, with Pastor Celestyne DeVance and Pastor Lynne Spencer-Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home, in Belmond and will continue one hour prior to service time on Friday at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to the Jason Moore Memorial Fund.

Jason Lee Moore, the son of Curt and Byrul (Miller) Moore, was born on Jan. 30, 1972, at the Belmond Community Hospital, in Belmond. He was baptized at the United Methodist Church, in Belmond. Jason attended school in Belmond and graduated from Belmond High School in 1990. Jason worked for Vermeer Company in Pella on the third shift as a welder. He was making his home in Hedrick, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, cars, especially race cars and racing. He died as the result of an accident on Highway 163, near Pella, Iowa. Jason died en route to Iowa Methodist Hospital, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jason is survived by his parents, Curtis and Byrul Moore, of Belmond; three sisters, Kim Moore, of Chicago, Ill., and Jenny Moore and Jamie Moore, both at home in Belmond; his paternal grandparents, Don and June Moore, of Belmond; and a special friend, Courtney Hamilton and her daughter, Hannah, of Hedrick. He was preceded in death by his son, Zackery; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Vernice Miller; and two uncles, Virgil Miller and Frank Miller.
