Clarion, IA--Gertrude E. Barden, 92, died Saturday (July 20, 1996) at Clarion Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Willim Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick J. Nemmers officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be held after 3:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Gertrude E. Barden was born May 3, 1904 in Illinois. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Gardner of Boone; one brother, Burdette McNamee of Waterloo; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
