Keith D. Mericle, the son of Donald Mericle and Betty (Quintus) Bowles, was born September, 23, 1957 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended school in Eagle Grove and Norwalk. Keith enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii. He enjoyed working on automobiles, fishing and hunting. Keith worked for Advance Drainage Systems in Eagle Grove. Keith passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at his home in Eagle Grove at the age of 51 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Sherry Bird of West Des Moines; two grandsons, Ethan and Nathaniel; mother, Betty Bowles of Eagle Grove; father, Don Mericle and wife Eldene of Eagle Grove; sister, Lynda Knight of Aurora, CO; brother, Steve and wife Renae of Clarion; brother, Craig Mericle and wife Kady of Nora Springs; sister, Kathy Sheesley and husband Mike of Woodland, CA; brother, Jeff Mericle and wife Tiffany of Goldfield, and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.
