Karen Kay McCormick, the daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Gordon) Baker was born July 28, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Des Moines East High School. Karen worked in Clarion as a CNA, CMA for 22 years at USA Healthcare in Clarion retiring in 2006. She was married to Rex McCormick, who preceded her in death. Karen passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009, at her home in Eagle Grove, at the age of 62 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Rex. Karen is survived by her son, Ron Kiefer; daughter, Misty Schafer; granddaughter, Danielle Schafer and grandson, Devon Kiefer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Eagle Grove with Pastor Scott Gruening officiating. Visitation is at the church from 9:30 until time of service. Memorials may left to the discretion of the family.
