Egil Aadland, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Aadland was born October 14, 1924 in the township of Skudenes in Karmøy, Norway. He immigrated to the United States in 1948 and became a citizen in 1955. He was a resident of Thor and Eagle Grove Iowa for 29 years and Shreveport, Louisiana for the past 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Judith; son, Leif Aadland of Idaho; three daughters: Maureen (Michael) Stohlmeyer of Ames, Iowa; Renee (Mike) Young of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jonita Aadland of Florida; grandchildren, Chris Aadland and Heidi Larson of Colorado, Rachel Young and Ross Young of Shreveport. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses, doctors and staff at LifeCare Hospital on Linwood for their compassionate care. Burial in Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, Louisiana.
