CANNON FALLS, MN -- The funeral for Mary E. Ferguson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, 29470 Gaylord Ave., near Cannon Falls, with the Rev. Daniel Horn officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery near Randolph.Mrs. Ferguson, 94, formerly of the Lake Byllesby/Randolph, Minn., area, died Tuesday (Jan. 27, 2009) at Regina Nursing Home in Hastings, Minn.

Mary Elizabeth Gilson was born April 19, 1914, in Clarion, Iowa. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1934, and married Robert E. Ferguson on Nov. 3, 1934, in Red Wing. They owned and operated the Lakeview Inn in Randolph for 21 years. Survivors include a son, John (Gerry) of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 13, 1986, a son, a stepson, and three brothers. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Christ United Methodist Church or the Randolph Historical Society. Lundberg Funeral Home of Cannon Falls is handling arrangements.
