Debra "Deb" Hassebrock, 50, of Webster City, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Kroona officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery northeast of Webster City. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
Debra Ann Hassebrock daughter of Gene and Virginia (Fisher) Hassebrock was born on August 26, 1958 in Webster City. At the age of 2 weeks, she moved with her family to Jewell until 1969 when the family returned to Webster City. She graduated from Webster City Senior High School in 1976. Deb was very active in both concert and marching band at the junior high and high school levels. She attended Iowa Central Community College in Webster City for one year. Following her education, she worked as a certified nurses aide for many years at area nursing homes. Deb enjoyed camping and being outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Morgan age 16, daughter, Kassi age 8; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Dawn Hassebrock of Madrid; nieces, Ashlyn Hassebrock of Iowa City and Kayli Hassebrock of Madrid; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Deb was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harry and Katie (Tempel) Hassebrock and her maternal grandparents, Guy and Jennie (Bates) Fisher. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.
